At tonight’s city council meeting, the 2011 budget will probably go through final adoption, which will see a tax increase of 2.4 per cent.
City officials, however, had recommended council pass a budget with a higher tax increase, in order to fully fund operations for the year. The lower increase means that money will be taken out of the parks department and infrastructure spending to balance the budget.
